TOMCAT, a member of Milos Group and the largest aluminum truss & custom structure manufacturer in the Americas, is happy to welcome Charlie Weiner as its new Eastern Region Sales Manager. A veteran entertainment rigging and production professional, Charlie brings more than 30 years of experience to TOMCAT and its customers.
“The addition of Charlie to our team is not only a win for TOMCAT, but also for our customers. Charlie’s experience and outgoing personality will provide our clients with a “solution guy” rather than just a “sales guy”,” said Scott Johnson, President and CEO of TOMCAT.
Charlie’s previous positions include serving as Head Rigger for Walt Disney World Resort and Rigging Safety Manager for LMG, both located in Orlando, Florida. He has worked as a designer and rigger for many high profile projects such as the Animal Kingdom Lodge at the Walt Disney World Resort, video structure in Train’s “Mermaids of Alcatraz” Tour, and Barco HD20 projection pod for the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI. He has also been an important member of teams that have received a TEA Award, Parnelli Award and Live Design Excellence Award. He is a frequent guest speaker on industry panels and currently sits on the PLASA panel. His professional credentials include ETCP Rigger Certification in Arena & Theater and CM-et Professional Hoist Certification.
When asked to share his thoughts on this new position Weiner said, “I’ve been blessed with a career full of amazing opportunities, experiences and people. I’m elated to join Tomcat and provide support to their customers, many of whom I’ve already worked together with in another capacity.” Weiner added, “To be welcomed into the TOMCAT family is an exciting event in my life. We’ll work together to achieve the impossible on a daily basis.”
