4Wall Becomes TOMCAT USA, Inc. Master Stocking Distributor
TOMCAT USA, Inc. is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with 4Wall Entertainment as an official TOMCAT Master Stocking Distributor. 4Wall Entertainment is a full-service lighting company with locations nationwide that specializes in providing entertainment lighting systems. “4Wall has been a key client for many years. Similar to TOMCAT, 4Wall is a company that values integrity, quality and performance,” commented Don Dimitroff, Sales and Marketing Director for TOMCAT USA, Inc. “And through the Master Stocking Distributor program, together we will be able to better serve our customers on the East and West Coasts and throughout North America.” In its role as a Master Stocking Distributor, 4Wall will carry a full stock of TOMCAT truss at their Las Vegas, Nevada and Moonachie, New Jersey locations. The full TOMCAT product line will also be available on 4Wall’s e-commerce site NewLighting.com. The 4Wall Sales Team in Las Vegas, New Jersey and Baltimore have completed extensive training on TOMCAT truss products and are ready to provide prompt service and delivery.

TOMCAT Has a New Operations Manager
TOMCAT welcomed Fernando Perez-Cervantes as its new Operations Manager of Staging Systems Americas. Among others, Fernando held a number of very important positions within the Chrysler group and has recently joined the team to plan, organize, direct and control the operations functions in the U.S. and Mexico.Fernando brings extensive experience in lean manufacturing and organizational development, with a global perspective.

TOMCAT supports The Petroleum Museum Summer Youth Enrichment Program
TOMCAT supports The Petroleum Museum Summer Youth Enrichment Program by providing an educational visit to the factory to primary school students. On Friday the 13th of August, TOMCAT received a group of students in its Midland office who came to visit the factory as part of the activities of their Summer Youth Enrichment Program at the Petroleum Museum. TOMCAT welcomed this event as part of the Vitec Corporate Social Responsibility spirit of community giving, particularly in the area of personal development activities for children.

TOMCAT 2010 Hoist & Rigging Workshops
In February 2010, a team of world-class instructors and about 60 participants from all over the United States and Canada traveled to Midland, Texas to attend TOMCAT’s Hoist and Truss workshop or the Rigging and Truss workshop. The Hoist and Truss workshop featured the disassembly and reassembly of a one ton Lodestar, a Prostar as well as advanced troubleshooting with Dave Carmack of Columbus McKinnon. Dave Sowa (ETCP certified electrician and formerly of TOMCAT USA, Inc.) led a discussion on control systems and conducted demonstrations of load testing. Instruction was rounded out by Dana Bartholomew of Fisher Technical Services, Inc. who gave instruction and demonstrations on automation.

Kinesys Appoints Italian Distributor
UK based automation specialist Kinesys announces the appointment of trussing manufacturers LITEC and TOMCAT as its Italian distributors. Litec and TOMCAT are part of the Vitec Group which also includes companies such as Brilliant Stages and Manfrotto. They are also master distributors of Columbus McKinnon so Kinesys felt these were exactly the right companies and product mix to complement a premium automation product.
